Buying a Home Set Up and Music Software

A few Days ago, I bought a Mac and Logic Pro so I could do my composition work at home. I have been wanting this for this for a long time because I genuinely love making music and want to do it as much as possible in my free time. The computers at school are also extremely slow and its annoying.

Obviously, I was expensive. Very expensive. I would have to buy a computer ( about £400 for a cheap one), the software (£200) , a guitar interface (about £100) and a small keyboard (£40). and thats not mentioning real studio headphones and a microphone. I haven’t got all this equipment yet and am slowing getting all the pieces when the money comes. But all of these thing will be important and worthwhile investments to something that I love at at good quality in my own time.

To be honest, the real reason I starting getting my own set up is because I don’t feel inspired to work at collage much anymore. Like i mentioned, the computers are quite slow and it waste a-lot of time I could be using to create ideas. And sometimes I will feel drained creatively and feel like I can’t make anything new. However, with a set up at home I feel like I will be motivated more as I will be in my own space and will have more time to put my ideas down if I have a brainstorm, The only fear I have is that it is that the mac is right next to my xbox. I might need to make an office someday.

Anyway, I cant wait to use this thing over the next couple of weekends. I am probably going to make more music in the next couple of months that I have in my entire life.
